Sweet Chestnut from East Bergholt for chair making.
The table only has one leg as the end of the top is attached to the inside of the barge. The leg can be folded up and the table top fits in between the seats to make a bed.
Here is the Ash from Bradfield woods to make into chairs for 2017. These logs are 25 year old coppice, which is about the maximum age for Ash in a coppice..
A small topped table with tapered legs made from coppiced Ash with a solid Ash rectangular top, and coppiced Ash Armchair.
This is the unfinished chair. The work shop is too dusty to apply the finish here.
This Ash chair is possibly going to be for a book shop with a children’s section. It is also strong enough for an adult to stand on. It has 5 grown bends and 2 steam bent parts.
The new bar stool with arms in Sweet Chestnut, is being tried out by customers at The White Horse pub in Sweffling. An honest traditional pub with some original ideas and excellent beer.
