Here is the Ash from Bradfield woods to make into chairs for 2017. These logs are 25 year old coppice, which is about the maximum age for Ash in a coppice..
A small topped table with tapered legs made from coppiced Ash with a solid Ash rectangular top, and coppiced Ash Armchair.
This Ash chair is possibly going to be for a book shop with a children’s section. It is also strong enough for an adult to stand on. It has 5 grown bends and 2 steam bent parts.
Sweet Chestnut. Half lap joints on table top.
Armchair in Sweet Chestnut with stainless steel screws on seat & backrest. Made from coppiced wood from Nacton by the river Orwell.
Orders taken £450.00
Steam bent components are stable once the wood has dried. Joints are then cut ready for assembly.
Logs are split using a Froe & cudgel into quarters. The cudgel is laying on the ground in the photo.
